"Why We Drive Them" is primarily sponsored by the Northern Illinois Street Rod Association. We focus on bringing people together to drive their cars and enjoy each other's company.

Formally established in 1968, the Northern Illinois Street Rod Association (NILSRA) celebrated its 54th Anniversary of the Club in 2022. NILSRA promotes various types of automotive enthusiast activities including, "Why We Drive Them". We hope to create opportunities for fellow enthusiasts and their families to get together and enjoy their special interest vehicles.
